Whether you have never climbed, are a beginner, intermediate or expert rock climber, we have something exciting for you at Above Sea Level. We provide expert knowledge, instruction and state of the art climbing equipment. Safety equipment use and safe rope practices are the core of our operation.
Our guides and instructors come from the United States, England, Russia and Egypt; conducting personalized route guiding and instruction. We offer a variety of climbing: Sport, Traditional (Trad), Bottom/Top roping, and Bouldering, as well as beginner and advanced courses, guided day and overnight trips locally. We run Try Climb days for novices to get a taste of what climbing is about. We also offer climbing safaris to St. Katherine for full day, multi-pitch climbing. There are many established rock climbing routes on the Sinai’s best granite as well as many new routes waiting to be climbed.

Wadi Gnai is 30 minutes from the centre and has perfect places for try climbs, beginner courses, sport climbing and bouldering.
St Katherine is in the middle of the Sinai, about two hours from Dahab. There are hundreds of trad routes, all multi-pitch, suitable for those with trad climbing experience.
We have everything from beginner level scrambles to hard sports routes at Wadi Gnai (3+ to 7b/5.6-5.12), and from easy, short routes to serious multi-day trips in St Katherine (IV to VIII/3+ to 7a/5.6-5.11/Sev 4a-E4 6b)
Only comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily, water, a hat, sunscreen, and in colder weather, a jumper. We provide all the equipment (including shoes, harness and helmet), and transport.
Trips run from October to May. A full day is 9am to 4pm. St Katherine trad climbing is minimum two days, but more is recommended!
