We Are Above Sea Level

Jenny Lord Rock Climbing Instructor

About Jenny

Jenny has been climbing for 16 years, starting as a way to get rid of all the energy she had as a youngster by going to the local indoor wall. She got onto their youth team (the only girl!), and took part in a few competitions before realising she far preferred climbing for herself, than competing. After two years in an office job (mostly time spent staring out the window) she decided to leave that nice, safe, comfortable world and become a climbing instructor! For the last ten years she’s taught all sorts, from teaching intro climbs to training new instructors in anything from rope work to climbing techniques. She is MLTB SPA qualified, and is also a PADI dive instructor, going ‘below sea level‘!

Jenny says “I love the freedom I feel when I climb, the focus it gives you (no time to dwell on anything else!), and the buzz of completing a route, whether it's a delicate slab or a hard boulder problem.
